I noticed Wal-Mart had police in the store this morning. I realized
as we left that they were from the Salisbury Police Department. Such
pleasant young men who were very courteous to all the people as they
were exiting the store. This was certainly a great way for the Police
Department to reach out to the community and show a presence. It
certainly made us feel comfortable shopping in the store this morning
knowing they were there.

Tiger Woods in 'serious' condition after car accident

ISLEWORTH, Fla. - Professional golfer Tiger Woods was seriously injured in a car accident early this morning, the Florida Highway Patrol just reported.Woods, 33, pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community about 2:25 a.m. when he struck a fire hydrant, and then drove into a tree at his neighbor's property, FHP reported.Woods was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in serious condition, FHP said. No other information about his condition has been released.

I have heard the meeting went well and the people that showed up were pleased with the process.

The three Candidates had some great ideas and hopefully soon we will have the Cities choice.

"To Whom It May Concern:

I have been a supporter of The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign for over 30 years. I have donated every year and have shown my daughter that it is the right thing to do. On about a dozen occasions I have rang the bell myself, through my workplace and community organizations. We have a connection to the local Salvation Army as my daughter went to school with Capt. Henderson's daughter Ellisen, or Ellie as my daughter calls her..

I was searching for information on the possibility of ringing the bell this year with my daughter as a side kick. I stumbled on to The Salisbury News Weblog, who was promoting your campaign. As I read further down the blog I found that this person is not someone that I would associate with. He has racist posts, hate filled post directed at our President and one post that was the worst I have seen in some time. It seems that he has posted a picture of a young girl in an open car trunk looking confused. The caption under it states "Just kidding, there is no candy in there".

Child abduction and abuse is a very serious crime and to make a joke about it is infuriating. I immediately pictured my daughter or one of her friends (even Ellie) being abducted and how horrible it would be. This low life is making a joke of it. I will not align myself with anyone who does this or supports someone who does.

This leads to my next few questions:

Is the type of person The Salvation Army associates with? Is this person a representative of The Salvation Army?
Why is he allowed to promote your organization alongside of his hate filled trash? Does your organization approve of such trash?

Please respond to me with your thoughts and I will determine how I will proceed with this matter."
